What is it all about?
As the UK becomes more culturally diverse each year, so too do workplaces. This course will provide you with the necessary awareness, know-how and practical skills needed to become
more effective at intercultural interactions. You will draw on various models to analyse your own experiences to develop a personal development plan to address effective interactions at work in the face of significant challenges. The training will also cover harmful practices which are mostly prevalent in BME communities, namely Female Genital Mutilation and forced marriage.

Learning Objectives:
- Understand the Equality Act 2010 and learn about protected characteristics.
- Explain the effects of cultural differences on interactions. Identify individual and cultural preferences for working practices and demonstrate the use of empathy when evaluating others.
- Apply inclusive teamwork and/or leadership skills to successfully promote multicultural workplaces.
- Develop personal development plan.
