Domestic Abuse Awareness

What is it all about?

The aim of this training is to build a solid understanding of the nature and scope of domestic abuse and its impact on those who experience it, providing the delegates with the confidence and knowledge to deal with the issues in their work setting.

The course covers:

  • The dynamics, nature, effects, and causes of domestic abuse.
  • Using case studies, learners will gain an understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on survivors, evaluate how best to respond to disclosures, and how to safeguard and share information safely and appropriately.
  • Specialist support services, and how to refer into them.

Any professional (frontline or manager), student, or individual who supports people who may be affected by domestic abuse.
